Dr. Mark Strauss

Mark Strauss, MD completed his undergraduate education at Purdue University, where he graduated with degrees in Biology and Chemistry. He attended the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine and graduated in 1972. He completed his internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. In 1975, Dr. Strauss joined Thomas-Spann Clinic and became a Senior Partner; he has held leadership roles and has served on various committees.

 

Dr. Strauss is certified by the American board of Internal Medicine. He is member of the Texas Medical Association and the Nueces County Medical Society.

 

Dr. Strauss understands that patients have two reasons for seeking medical care; “they are sick and want to get well or are well and want to stay well.” Dr. Strauss’ goal is to take care of his patients throughout their lifetime to assist them in remaining healthy. Dr. Strauss prides himself on maintaining long-term relationships with both his patients and his staff, in turn, his patients benefit in receiving the highest quality of exceptional and continuum care through the years.

 

Dr. Strauss is married and has four daughters, one son and five grandchildren. He loves South Texas and enjoys the outdoors, canoeing, bicycling and fishing.
