Melanie Chipman, FNP-C
Melanie Chipman, FNP-C started her education at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas, and received an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science for Registered Nursing in 1997. She then went on to the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas, to earn her Bachelor of Science for Nursing in 2011. After working as a Critical Care Nurse for over 18 years, she attended Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, Texas, to earn her Masters of Science in Nursing and become a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2015. Immediately following her graduation as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Melanie joined Thomas-Spann Clinic.
Melanie Chipman is a dedicated and highly motivated Family Nurse Practitioner with strong leadership qualities and well proven strengths. She has a long nursing background in the care of critically ill and family medicine patients. She is a reliable, motivating leader and patient/family advocate. She loves getting to know her patients and has an approachable, down to earth bedside manner. Melanie has many professional memberships, such as the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Coastal Bend Advanced Practice Nurses, and the National Lipid Association. She also is a Board Member of the South Texas Botanical Gardens and Nature Center.
Melanie is happily married and has two wonderful kids. She enjoys running, gardening, live music, and long weekends in the Hill Country.
